Living the Arambol Life: Goa, India

Life in Arambol is lazy. I wake, battle with wifi, swim and watch sunset with a beer. It’s great. Joined by a bunch of new friends, I explored the hippie beach town of Arambol and uncovered the reason for its mellow traveller vibe.

The Hostel Crowd: Vagator, Goa

Vagator was just 5km up the coast from Anjuna but a change of scenery was needed and we wanted to check out the most talked about Jungle Hostel. It was all very chilled with our new hippie friends apart from the “memorable” all night trance rave. What goes on in Goa, stays in Goa!

Backpacking in Anjuna: Goa, India

Anjuna is Goa’s party central. Luckily for me it was low p-season so I missed the swarms of tourists, most high of LSD and non-stop trance music. I made friends at Roadhouse Hostel and enjoyed a couple of the weekly beach parties, but for me was all about relaxing with a good coffee and daily gelato. Bliss.

I was dreading Goa’s drug-filled trance parties, western culture and busy beaches but it appears low-season uncovers a completely different side.
