A post-calving holiday was needed to I set off to complete one of New Zealand’s Great Walks. Sadly the Spring snow melted my plans so I walked the Caples Track instead. An interesting adventure as always with beautiful photos to match.
Fine dining, great walks and a spectacular boat trip through Milford Sounds – we certainly made the most of our last few days together. We had travelled the whole South Island in one month. Highs and lows. What a journey.

My mum flew in from the UK to join me on a one month cycle tour of the South Island. The first five days from Lumsden to Arrowtown encountered many highs and lows. We wild camped beneath the stars, got eaten alive by sandflies and ended up having to cycle 50km back in the direction we had just come. Never a dull day when cycling New Zealand!
